Ana Duarte Rodrigues holds a PhD in Modern Art History. Research interests focus on garden and landscape studies from the perspective of the History of Science, on the study of treatises from the 16th and 18th centuries, and on the sustainability of the landscape. Along with SUSBEAUTY, she also coordinates the “AQUA. Horto Aquam Salutarem: Water Wise Management in Gardens in the Early Modern Period ”. Ana Duarte Rodrigues is the editor of Gardens & Landscapes magazine, published by Sciendo.

Graduated in Landscape Architecture from the Technical University of Lisbon, Instituto Superior de Agronomia.. Develops a liberal activity in landscape architecture project. In parallel, he teaches courses on garden design, historic gardens and gardening, at the Serralves Foundation, Porto, and at the Associação de Amigos do Jardim Botânico da Ajuda, Lisbon. In terms of heritage, he is responsible for advising on the maintenance, conservation and restoration of the gardens of Paço de Belas (Sintra, 2003-2018), and, currently, of the gardens of the Marqueses de Fronteira Palace (Lisbon). Founding member of the Portuguese Association of Historical Gardens (2003) and member of the current Board.

Senior Technician of the Cultural Activities Service at the National Library of Portugal. Degree in Engineering Sciences - Agronomic Engineering - Higher Institute of Agronomy, Technical University of Lisbon. Post-Graduation in Gardens and Landscapes, by the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences - New University of Lisbon
